WHo? what? where? when?
Hello and welcome! My name is Jazmin Duran. I am currently a senior at Columbia College Chicago pursing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture. I am lucky enough to be born and raised in the southside of Chicago along with all the iconic architecture it has to offer. I always describe my-self as a curious person, which has led me to explore many different paths in my life that I am very thankful for. One being that I was a teen Fellow at the Chicago Architecture Center, about 4 years ago, which convinced me to choose a career path in the design field.
Originally the design field was introduced to me when I began my sophomore year of high school with architecture classes that taught the basics of the field while getting more complex towards senior year. Having this class for 2 hours every day, helped me develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the design field at an early age. My passion for design also led me to do an architectural internship at a historical preservation firm located in Evanston, which gave me an insight into the professional world that I am so eager to one day join!
